It Is Time to Stand
Words: O. Talmadge Spence
Music: It Is Time to Stand | O. Talmadge Spence
1. It is time to stand in this barren land;
In days just like these there’s a need.
It is time to hold to the truth of old
While sowing the Gospel seed.

2. It is time to pray till the break of day;
For troubles and trials have come.
It is time to wait at the Eastern Gate
Till Jesus will take us home.

3. It is time to weep for the souls that sleep;
For many are falling away.
Even in the pew, yes, it might be you
Rejecting God’s Word today.

4. It is time to hope; yes, it’s time to hope.
We’re nearing a great, golden day.
I’ll not be surprised if the next sunrise
Will take all the saints away.

Refrain:
Line upon line and precept, too;
Over and over again.
Filling our heart with the Word of God;
Seeking the souls of men.
It is time to stand in this barren land;
In days just like these, there’s a need.
