Pilgrims with a Crown-View
Words: H. T. Spence
Music: Pilgrims with a Crown-View | H. T. Spence
1. Christ has saved us from our sins; Our lives are now in God.
We desire the Holy Word to order where we trod.
All for Christ - yet anything for self we count as dross!
We’re pilgrims with a crown-view of the Cross!

2. Jesus Christ, our Saviour made the Cross become a throne.
It was by this blessed plan our souls He did atone.
And He took His Cross of shame and bore it as His crown.
The Son of God, the Pilgrim Son, renown.

3. Pilgrims and ambassadors and strangers on this earth:
These are titles owning us because of our new birth.
We refuse to settle here amidst a world that’s lost.
We’re citizens of Heav’n, Christ paid the cost!

Refrain:
Pilgrims with a crown-view of the Cross!
This our anthem now we raise.
Pilgrims with a crown-view of the Cross!
Its message we will live through all our days.
