Words: O. Talmadge Spence
Music: Lord, Thou Remainest | O. Talmadge Spence
1. The blessed Word of God is changeless;
All else will fade away.
Gibraltar’s rock still tow’rs before us,
But it shall crumble down some day.
2. While mountains wear away before us,
And sun and moon retire;
While changing tides and shifting shadows,
And states and empires all expire.
3. When days are past and strength is waning,
And childhood joys are gone;
When worn and weary feet, they falter,
And I shall go to my long home:
Refrain:
Lord, Thou remainest! When heav’n and earth pass away.
Lord, Thou remainest! Thy Word will ne’er fail today.
Oh, I see Thy faithfulness to me,
And I’m resolved that “I’ll remain with Thee.”
LORD, THOU REMAINEST
