I Must Be Born Again
Words: O. Talmadge Spence
Music: I Must Be Born Again | O. Talmadge Spence
1. I was born in a country with fullness of bread,
But I must be born again.
A country in which we have food and to spare;
A land filled with children and faces so fair;
This homeland of mine has a heart that will share,
But I must be born again.
I must be born again.
I must be newborn again.
Although I have much of the blessings of man,
I must be born again.

2. I was born in a home where our prayers were all prayed,
But I must be born again.
I grew in a world of sweet comforts and friends;
I learned about life and the pleasures of sin;
I found my success and I did not offend,
But I must be born again.
I must be born again.
I must be newborn again.
Although I have much of the blessings of man,
I must be born again.

3. We live in a world, we’re so busy with things,
But we must be born again.
We need a revival of holiness pow’r;
We need right convictions, consistent each hour;
Oh Lord, send us not that old Pentecost show’r,
For we must be born again.
We must be born again.
We must be newborn again.
Although we have much of the blessings of man,
We must be born again.
