And shall we then go on to sin,
That grace may more abound?
Great God, forbid that such a thought
Should in our heart be found!
When to the sacred fount we came,
The Saviour’s work to claim,
That, wash’d from sin, and all its stains,
New creatures we became!
Through Christ the Lord we die to sin;
Through Him to life we rise,
So long enthrall’d by Satan’s sway,
We now are slaves no more!
For Christ hath vanquish’d death and sin,
Amen!
AND SHALL WE THEN GO ON TO SIN
