1. In lowly Bethlehem town was born a child of Heav’n’s renown.
Immanuel, born that evening: Jesus Christ, the infant King!
Herald angels sang His story; Heav’n’s joy in oratory:
Shepherds saw that night His glory: King of all Kings!
Manchild from God will to earth bring grace for all: This infant King!
2. Son of the highest adored! Cradled in manger, Christ the Lord!
Virgin born child giv’n that evening: Jesus Christ, the infant King!
Wise men saw the sign that shone bright; followed in the path of starlight!
Came to worship Him with delight: King of all Kings!
Incarnate God precious Dayspring! Holy Child: This infant King!
3. Glory to God! Praise be giv’n! Swaddlings now clothe the Son from Heav’n!
Gift from above, God’s own off’ring! Jesus Christ, the infant King!
Come, behold the child in manger! Son of God, He is no stranger!
View the Baby there in manger, King of all Kings!
Savior of man, came that evening! Holy Child: This infant King!
